Hamas has accused Israel of using internationally prohibited weapons supplied by the US against the people in Gaza. In a statement released on Monday, Hamas reported that over 320 individuals, including women and children, have been martyred or injured in the past 48 hours, suffering severe burns from these banned weapons.

Hamas claims that the Israeli occupation forces are using weapons that cause third-degree burns, consistent with thermal or chemical arms. These unconventional weapons, reportedly of American manufacture, induce a chemical reaction with the skin, leading to severe pain, deep physical damage, and fatal burns within 27 hours or less.

The resistance movement condemned these acts as crimes against humanity and called on the global community to denounce these actions, pursue legal action against the Israeli occupation, and hold the US administration accountable for supplying these weapons.

Hamas also emphasized the dire humanitarian impact, highlighting that Gaza's Civil Defense Service has observed the dissolution of victims' bodies into ashes. The use of such thermal weapons is classified as a war crime under various international laws, including the Hague Conventions, Geneva Conventions, and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

The ongoing conflict has seen at least 38,664 Gazans killed and 89,097 injured, with Israel maintaining a near-total siege on Gaza, severely restricting access to essential supplies.
